What Actually Lasts

Timeless Partners runs The 100 Year Conversation — monthly interviews with people who have steered institutions for decades or centuries. Eight are published. All eight read end to end, pulled apart for the claims that cut against the received wisdom, the models worth stealing, and the places the operators flatly contradict each other.

One honest flag on the thesis

The firm's Beliefs page leads with “the most valuable companies in history were the most doubted” — Amazon −94%, Apple −82%, Tesla −90%, Netflix −77%. That set is selected on outcome. The same drawdowns describe thousands of companies that simply died; the doubt was often correct.

The falsifiable version of the claim is Levchin's: “networks tend to fail by self destruction. You frustrate your constituents. You lose the trust of your customers.” That is a mechanism you can check while you hold the position. A drawdown chart is only legible afterward.
